RCIL BOARD
RCIL is Looking for Dedicated Residents to Join the Board
Board Member Commitment
Each year, we welcome fresh perspectives and new energy to our leadership team through elections. Whether you’ve lived in Reynoldstown for one year or twenty, a love for our neighborhood and commitment to your board role are what matter most. Board members should value community engagement and prioritize resident needs. Positivity and critical thinking are key, as our discussions can be complex. By building a team of collaborative, open-minded, and thoughtful leaders, we ensure the best outcomes for our community.
What Does the Board Do?
RCIL’s Board of Directors is made up of elected Reynoldstown neighbors who share a passion for our community and work together to fulfill our mission and vision. Board members help guide our committees, build important relationships, and strengthen the connections that make Reynoldstown such a special place.
The Board meets monthly before the general body meeting, typically on the Tuesday prior. Each month, the RCIL Board meets to review the past 30 days of activity in Reynoldstown. The topics vary throughout the year and cover a wide range of community matters, from neighborhood events and committee updates to local initiatives and upcoming projects. Discuss items coming up for NPU-N meetings if available.
Board members are encouraged to attend at least eight (8) RCIL Board Meetings and eight (8) community meetings each calendar year.
Members are encouraged to assist with various RCIL committees and projects, either by:
Chairing a committee or leading a project,
Acting as a liaison between the Board and committees or projects,
Supporting committees as a member or serving as Chairperson.
After election, the President will connect with new members to align their interests with appropriate committees.
Current committees and initiatives include:
Beautification
Zoning
Communications
Events // Entertainment
Education
Friends of Lang-Carson Park
